SKATEPARKS & MORE

If you feel inspired by the incredible athletes at X Games Austin, we totally understand. We’ll have the Next X Park courses for fans set up at Circuit of The Americas, but here are some other spots in ATX to unleash your inner X Games athlete.

SKATE

The top skatepark in Austin is House Park Skatepark. Opened in 2011, it has ramps, stairs, rails, a half-pipe, and a bowl. Mabel Davis Skatepark is also big with locals, and has a bowl and street course. For skateshops, we recommend No-Comply, Apparition, and Tekgnar.

BMX

Austin is one of the top BMX spots in the world. In addition to House Park Skatepark, 9th Street BMX trails are a great spot to ride without leaving downtown Austin. If you’re looking for new gear, be sure to hit up the nationally recognized Empire BMX.

WAKEBOARDING

With its hot summers and beautiful lakes, it’s no surprise wakeboarding has a strong community in Austin, TX. Lake Austin is the most popular spot for wakesurfing, and Quest ATX recently opened as Austin’s first and only cable wakepark (not far from Circuit of The Americas). New to wakeboarding? Check out Shred Stixx Wakesurf School and Freeride Wakeboard School.
